The concepts on which miB is inspired are clumped together in transversal principles, applicable to organizations, groups and persons, and more widely to their actions and attitudes.

These major principles, gathering consensus and international recognition, are commonly described as Sustainable Development; Corporate Social Responsibility; and Social Economy (social entrepreneurship), and it is through them that miB guides its actions.
